"Diet with your favorite foods." Sounds like the Nutrisystem concept, which stresses meal portions, instead of what the meal consists of.

Or how about a quarter pound of cheese verses a pound of carrots?
If the cheese and carrots are both a pound, then someone trying to lose weight will automatically choose the carrots, based on the lower calorie count (I.e. "what" they eat). A quarter pound of cheese has roughly the same calorie count as a pound of carrots, so choosing the cheese would be based on "how much" they eat, since the quarter pound of cheese is a smaller portion.
